    - Policy Document -

Before taking out involuntary unemployment cover, major illness cover or payment protection insurance, it is vital that the borrower reads and understands the policy document for the cover. The document spells out all of the conditions and exceptions that apply to the insurance, cover or plan, including how much it will cost, what conditions must be met before it will be paid out and whether certain reasons for unemployment are not covered. It is also common to find a list of illnesses that are not covered, so merely being unable to work is no guarantee that the policy will pay out.
